Nasal Vowels (ão, ã, õe)
Portuguese nasal sounds have no English equivalent — "pão" and "não" trip up many beginners. They are a priority for the planned pronunciation feedback.
Brazilian vs European Portuguese
The two dialects differ in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Planned Portuguese support will distinguish them rather than presenting one generic accent.
Subjunctive & Personal Infinitive
Portuguese has a unique "personal infinitive" that no other Romance language uses. Conversation practice makes these advanced constructions feel natural instead of academic.
How LinguaLive Plans to Teach Portuguese

Not yet. Portuguese is a coming-soon language. Live practice currently supports Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and English.
Will LinguaLive support Brazilian and European Portuguese?
That is the plan, with distinct pronunciation and vocabulary guidance for each variety. The feature set and launch timing may change before release.
Is Portuguese easy to learn if I already speak Spanish?
Portuguese and Spanish share substantial vocabulary, but pronunciation and false friends still require deliberate study. LinguaLive does not yet provide Portuguese practice.
Can I use a LinguaLive plan for Portuguese today?
No. Current Free and Pro Live allowances apply only to the seven launched languages. Do not subscribe specifically for Portuguese until this page confirms that Portuguese is live.
